A reed diffuser is the laziest luxury. in the best way. No flame, no matches, no remembering to blow it out before bed. Just constant, beautiful fragrance. But there are a few things that make a big difference in how well it works.
Flip your reeds. This is the one thing people forget. The reeds soak up the oil and release it from the tips, but after a while the tips get saturated and the scent fades. Flip them once a week - you'll smell the difference immediately. Just be careful, the oil end will be wet.
Don't use all the reeds at once if you want it to last. Our diffusers come with 8-10 reeds. If you want a strong throw in a big room, use all of them. For a smaller space or a subtler scent, start with 5 or 6. Fewer reeds = slower oil absorption = longer life.
Placement matters. Near a doorway or passage is perfect - the air movement carries the scent through the house. Avoid direct sunlight, it evaporates the oil faster. And keep it away from air conditioning vents.
When the reeds go dark and clogged, replace them. They don't last forever. Old reeds stop absorbing properly. Fresh reeds in the same oil will bring the scent right back.
Our reed diffusers should give you 4 to 6 months of fragrance, depending on how often you flip. When the oil runs out, grab a refill - same beautiful oil, no need to buy a whole new vessel.
